Libraries to be made conducive to attract youth – Authority

GNA – The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Library (GhLA), Mr Hayford
Siaw, has claimed just one of the Authority’s essential objective for 2019 is to make certain
library areas are more and inviting for young persons.

Mr Siaw stated this at
the inauguration of the renovated Japanese Regional Children’s Library in
Koforidua.

The children’s’
library is envisioned to ensure that children who frequented the facility had been

children’s corner stocked with toys, 
photographs and guides for young children at the pre-college level and previously mentioned.

The library been given
2,725 new textbooks donated by Book Support Intercontinental, a United Kingdom based mostly
organisation, which supports in Africa and close to the environment with
guides.

Mr Siaw indicated
that the children’s corner at the library would help them in expertise
acquisition and make them adapt to the library strategy at the early stage of
lifestyle.

The Japanese Regional
Librarian, Mr Evans Korletey-Teye, explained library as the very best location for youngsters
during their leisure time and that it was sensible for dad and mom to entrust
their wards to libraries, specially during vacations.

He commended E-book
