2nd Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Kingsford Bagbin, has lamented in excess of government’s budgetary allocation to the Ministry of Is effective and Housing describing it as ‘next to almost nothing.’
In accordance to the legislator, the cash allotted to the Ministry is woefully inadequate and will restrict the Ministry in the execution of its functions for the coming 12 months.
“The finances allocation to the Ministry is woefully inadequate, it is just 10 for every cent of the genuine spending budget desired for the Ministry to perform proficiently, I sympathise with the Ministry,” he stated.
Presenting the committee’s report on the 2020 once-a-year finances estimates of the Ministry, chairman for the parliamentary committee on Will work and Housing, Nana Amoakoh indicated that the budgetary allocation will be expended less than main expenditure merchandise.
The expenditure items incorporate drainage administration at a price of GH¢ 22 million cedis, GH¢ 3 million cedis for public design management and a whopping GH¢ 34 million cedis for coastal management amongst other critical priorities.
The Residence, in spite of the worries elevated by the Minority, accredited the GH¢ 148 million for the Ministry’s programmes and routines for the 2020 Financial Year.
