MP for Assin South Constituency, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, has claimed Nana Akufo-Addo’s promise to Ghanaians in the lead up to the 2016 normal elections to distribute ambulances to each individual constituency has been fulfilled.
His remarks follow the commissioning of 307 ultra-fashionable ambulances at the Black Star Square on Tuesday.

He expressed displeasure and dissatisfaction about how some ambulances procured and imported into the region in 2015 by the John Mahama administration turned out to be unfit for intent.
“We ended up here in the calendar year 2015 when 130 ambulances ended up purported to have been procured and paid out for. Only for it to get listed here and flip into trotro that experienced been imported into the place and paid out for as ambulances. They are continue to out of date and parked at the air power yard. It is correct there,” Mr Ntim Fordjour pointed out.
The legislator also mentioned the quantity of ambulances that ended up in existence at the many wellbeing facilities dotted across the country were not sufficient plenty of to meet up with the urgent requires and demands of sufferers and wellbeing models in our constituencies.
“The amount of ambulances we experienced was woefully insufficient. Rapidly-forward we have voted for change. The modify listed here is that each and every constituency must have an ambulance, not a trotro-ambulance. An ambulance that is fitted with extremely-modern-day paramedics amenities that are likely to support crisis health care supply. Not only are we just delivering the ambulances, but there are also paramedics and wellness professionals that have been properly trained. In excess of 1,000 employment has absent along with this initiative,” he extra.
Rev. John Ntim Fordjour in his estimation believes that the digitised ambulances that had been commissioned on Tuesday will strengthen pre-healthcare facility treatment for distressed victims.
He assured Ghanaians that the government properly used the taxpayers’’ money, stating that the cash had been not used to obtain inferior motor vehicles as it took place below the previous authorities.
“Every constituency is psyched. This amount of ambulances we have might not be absolutely adequate to solve all the crisis complications that we have but it is a stage in the correct course. We will seem ahead to each individual other initiative that will increase and will guidance crisis healthcare shipping and delivery. This time the taxpayers’ funds has been place to judicious use. This time it has not been utilised to buy, trotro autos that are obsolete but have been employed to order extremely-modern day facilities that are directly going to benefit the men and women of Ghana,” he claimed.
