Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a Ghanaian politician and businessman who represents Assin Central in parliament for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has replied Bishop Charles Agyinasare over his statement made on Ghana banking crisis issues.
According Kennedy, all 397 financial institutions and 47 savings and loans were closed down because of the ways they managed their affairs. He said that, even if government had not collapse these banks and financial institutions, they would have collapse in any way.
He revealed the government saved citizens of the country by collapsing those banks. Also, he said government collapsed five banks into Consolidated Bank Ghana, which means the government had a better idea of solving the bank crisis.
Kennedy Agyapong stated that, if someone wants to point any accusing finger to anybody, it shouldn’t be president Akufo Addo because the Ghana bank crisis didn’t start off from his government but rather that of ex president John Dramani Mahama.
He cautioned Bishop Agyinasare to be careful with whatever he says. He said before Agyinasare comes out to make any statement, he should cross check his facts very well.
