The government led by prez Akufo Addo is about to fulfilled another campaign comprise by reinstating the allowance for medical Students in the country.
The previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) government led by John Dramani Mahama scrapped the allowance in 2014, under which medical students got an amount every quarter. But, during the 2016 electioneering period, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who was the then presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) promised to restore the allowance for the teacher and nursing trainees and also medical students to go through a smooth training to serve the nation.
In an audio below this article, it is stated that president Akufo Addo first two years in office restored both teachers and nursing trainees allowance including midwifes. Government has now started preparation to restore the allowance of Medical students in Ghana
Meanwhile, in other words, government has successfully paid all teacher and nursing trainees allowance. It was stated that, all allowances for the first semester were also paid to all students successfully.
