Accra, Oct. 16, GNA – The Ghana Occupational
Remedy Association is embarking on a general public sensitization programme to teach
the general public on the do the job and purpose of occupational therapists in the overall health care
The sensitization travel, which will get started
with a start of the Occupational Therapy 7 days celebration, is aspect of initiatives
to mark Environment Occupational Therapy Day celebrated just about every 27th of October.
Mr Paul Darlinton Forson, Community Relations
Officer, Occupational Therapy Association of Ghana, explained to the Ghana News Company
that his firm would begin the sensitization on 21st October, 2019, with
a wide variety of routines and programmes to create consciousness about the existence
and significance of occupational therapy in overall health care.
Functions lined up for the week lengthy
celebrations includes a scientific conference on occupational therapy exercise,
consciousness development campaigns in some church buildings and public sites and an outreach
programme to screen each the young and outdated at Okatabanman modern society in Accra.
The celebration is on the theme: “Improving
Well being and Wellbeing: Occupational Treatment Perspective.”
The Environment Federation of Occupational
Therapist of which Ghana is a member is the worldwide voice of the
occupational therapy job.
