The Head Pastor of End Time Evangelism Revival Ministry at Yawkrom a farming community at Manso in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region, Apostle Issac Opoku, is fighting for his life after he was shot by unknown assailants suspected to be armed robbers.
The unfortunate incident which occurred on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, has thrown church members and family into a state of fear.
The son of the pastor Asare Francis, who narrated the incident in an interview with Pure Fm’s Osei Kwadwo monitored by Ghtimesonline.com said “My father (the victim) was shot at the church premises when he went to the church to inspect ongoing construction works”.
According to him “I was at the church premises with my father and I decided to come home but when I returned I saw my father swimming in a pool of blood”.
“I saw bullets and I was told he was shot by masked armed robbers. The robbers smashed his mobile phone and ordered him to say his last prayer before he was shot”.
He explained “We suspect the robbers were contracted to kill my father because they took nothing from my father after the operation”
“My father was sent to Aguresom government hospital and he is responding to treatment after some bullets were retrieved from his body. He is currently on admission battling for life.”
The Manso Police Command has commenced investigation into the matter to bring the perpetrators to book.
