Ablakwa lied; I’ll Never Accept Bribe…JoeWise

The Chairman of the Appointment Committee of Parliament Hon Joseph Osei Owusu popularly known as Joewise has denied bribery allegations leveled against the committee by the Member of Parliament for North Tongu Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa resigned from the Appointment Committee of Parliament.

The Committee has been accused for accepting bribes from Ministers Designates for approval.

The Member of Parliament for Bekwai Hon Joseph Osei Owusu speaking on Kumasi-based Pure Fm Morning Shows monitored by Ghtimesonline.com said Member of Parliament for North Tongu Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa lied about bribe allegations against the committee.

According to Hon Joseph Osei Owusu, the Appointment Committee of Parliament will never accept bribe from Minister-Designate for his/her approval as a minister.

“I can boldly say that I Joseph Osei Owusu will never accept a bribe in my life. Sometimes people have the perception that some ministers were approved because the committee accepted bribe from them but that’s false. As the Chairman for the Committee, I can say without fear that no Minister-Designate can influence the committee with a bribe for approval” Joe Wise explained.

“Sometimes the temptation will come because some Ministers Designate think when they bribe the committee they will get successful approval. Some even come to my office to influence me but I always turn them down. I will listen to their message and why they think they will find it difficult to get approval but all that I can do is to be sincere to the person because the committee can never be influenced with money”

Hon Joseph Osei Owusu explained that “I was bold to challenge Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa because I knew my hands are clean because I have never and will never accept bribe from any Minister-designate for approval.
