The Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dennis Kwakwa has stated that President Akuffo Addo’s government has corrected the fundamentals of the Ghanaian economy, which, prior to his assumption of office, were in considerable disarray.
Some unhappy Ghanaians on social media especially Twitter and Facebook with the #FixTheCountry have charged President Akuffo Addo’s government to fix the country and desist from blaming his predecessors for the challenges confronting the country.
Dennis Kwakwa speaking on Kumasi-based Pure Fm Morning Drive hosted by Kwame Adinkra monitored by Ghtimesonline.com said President Akuffo’s government within 4 years in office have fixed all the messes created by former President John Dramani and his NDC.
According to Dennis Kwakwa, President Akufo-Addo’s government used a chunk of his first year at the presidency to introduced pragmatic policies and programmes to clear the huge mess that former President John Dramani Mahama left behind.
“NPP and President Akuffo will never say we have fixed all the challenges affecting the country and Ghanaians. Nana Addo came to meet a huge mess created by former president John Dramani Mahama and even with that mess government introduced policies to reduce the hardship and save the sinking economy under Mahama’s government” Dennis Kwakwa said.
Dennis Kwakwa added that “though President Akuff Addo’s introduced policies which benefit all Ghanaians but still measures have been put in place to fix all the hardship Ghanaians are facing due to Covid-19. Covid-19 has affected the World’s economy including Ghana and the government has to implement policies to bring the economy on the right track”.
“Ghanaians are calling the government to fix the economy because they believe President Akuffo Addo is competent enough to fix the country. NPP and President Akuffo Addo are bothered about the fix the country called by Ghanaians but I can assure Ghanaians that NPP and Nana Addo will fix the country”.
