The Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama administration Joseph Yammin has urged the members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to desist from insulting and attacking #FixTheCountry campaigners for waking up ‘sleeping’ President Akuffo Addo to fix the country.
There have been public agitations over President Nana Akufo-Addo’s performance in his second term.
Social media has gone awash with incessant calls on the President to fix the country.
#Fixthecountry has been the trending message on social media after news broke that there is going to be an increment in fuel prices.
The citizens have begun to complain bitterly about the President failing them, stating his administration has worsened their plight.
Joseph Yammin speaking in an interview with Pure Fm’s Osei Kwadwo monitored by Ghtimesonline.com said #FixTheCountry campaigners should be appreciated for waking up President Akuffo Addo from sleeping to fix the mess in the country.
“President Akuffo Addo told Ghanaians he will fix the country and he knows how to fix the country so I’m surprised that members of the NPP and government appointees are attacking and insulting the campaigners. What will make someone who knows how to fix the country are angry with those calling him to fix the country?” Yammin quizzed.
According to Joseph Yammin, Ghana is now a confused country because the country is governing by a confused party and a confused president.
“President Akuffo Addo has mismanaged the economy and the country is sinking. The country needs to be fixed so those attacking #FixTheCountry campaigners should stop and apologize because the campaigners are just waking up President Akuffo Addo from sleeping” he added.
